For the past five years, much of my
painting has focused on advancing my
technique through portraiture placing
emphasis on developing my palette and
honing my skills. But at the present time, I
am moving my work in a different
direction, focusing more on human
culture and the space we create than
the human figure.
I have been using photography more as a
vital step in the process of creation than
as just a tool to aid painting. I try to create a
clear picture of the sterile environments
with which we often surround ourselves,
the ways in which we attempt to separate
or barricade ourselves from nature. |
